علّمني حبيبي كيفَ يَكونوا الرِجالَ # وكَيفَ
نُعِدُ فِيهمُ مُنْذْ عُمرِ الأطفال
فَتُزرعُ فيهم شَهامةً وتَحَدي المُحالَ # تَنبُعُ
فيهم كَرامَةً طُولَ قِمَمِ الجِبال
يتعلموا الرِمايةَ ومِنهًم تَرىَ الخْيّالَ #
نُتابِعُ بالصَداقَةِ ونُصْدُقُ لهًم المِثال
بِتَجنبِ الحَماقَةَ واتباعِ أَجمَلَ خِصال #
ونُوطِدُ العَلاقَةَ لِيَنْبُتَ بِهمُ الجَمال
نُسْمِعْ أُذُنَ المولودِ * آذانَ رَبِّ الوُجود
ندعوا يَكُن مَوعود * بنعيمٍ مُشارُ إليهِ
تعالوا جميعا نعود * لما أُنزِل عَليهِ
صلّوا وسلّموا عليه * اللهُ صلّى عليه

My
beloved taught me how to be men # and how to get back in them since the age of
children
You
plant a magnanimity and challenge the situation. A dignity that springs along
the mountains
They
learn to shoot, and some of them see the imagination. We follow the friendship
and we give them an example.
By
avoiding foolishness and following the best qualities, we strengthen the
relationship so that camels can grow in them.
We
hear the ears of the newborn * The ears of the Lord of Existence
Let
be promised * bliss indicated
Come
all of us back * to what was revealed to him
Pray
and greet him * God bless him

H. Welton Flynn: A Pioneer in Public Service By Jeremy Menzies This February for Black History Month we're highlighting one of San Francisco's most important figures in transportation, H. Welton Flynn. Flynn is best known for his key leadership at the SF Public Utilities Commission and as the inaugural chairman of the SFMTA Board of Directors. Mr. Flynn was the first African American appointed to a city commission and served the longest term of any commissioner in San Francisco’s history. He served under six different mayors, being elected to the office of President or Chairman more than a dozen times.
