علمني حبيبي وهو
أشْرفُ يَتيمٍ # أَعطِفُ على يَتيمٍ وأحْمِيهِ مِنْ لَئيم
أُخَفِفُ عَنهُ
ألمَهُ وشُعورُهُ الأَلِيم # لابُدَّ أنْ يُحفظُ حَقهُ لِوقتٍ يَكُنْ قَويم
ولمَن يأكُلُ مَالَهُ عِقابٌ مُستَديم # أنزلَ
اللهُ الأحكامَ عَلى نَبينا العَظيم
لِحِكمَتهِ اصْطَفاهُ وجَعلهُ الرَحيم # هو
ابنُ الذَبيحَينِ وشَرفٌ لِكُلِّ يَتيم
سُبحانَ رَبي الوَدود * حَدَد كُلَّ الحُدود
لِيَسْعدَ بِها المَوجود * هيَ نِعْمَةُ تجَّلِيهِ
تَعالوا جَميعا نعود * لما أُنزِلُ عَليهِ
صلوا وسلموا عليه * اللهُ صَلى عَلَيه

Teach me my love

My
beloved taught me that he is the most honorable orphan # I sympathize with an
orphan and protect him from mean
His
pain and painful feeling are alleviated from him # He must preserve his right
for a time that is right
And
for whoever eats his money is a permanent punishment # God has sent judgments
to our great Prophet
He
chose his wisdom and made him merciful # He is the son of sacrifices and an
honor for every orphan
Sobhan,
my lord of worms * Define all borders
To be
happy with the existing * it is an unmistakable grace
All
come back, * when it was revealed
Pray
and peace be upon him * God bless him

Welton Flynn. Flynn is best known for his key leadership at the SF Public Utilities Commission and as the inaugural chairman of the SFMTA Board of Directors. Mr. Flynn was the first African American appointed to a city commission and served the longest term of any commissioner in San Francisco’s history.
